New Study Shows Anti-Choice Policies Leading to Widespread Arrests of and Forced Interventions on Pregnant Women → rhrealitycheck.org

•A woman in Utah gave birth to twins. When one was stillborn, she was arrested and charged with criminal homicide based on the claim that her decision to delay cesarean surgery was the cause of the stillbirth.

•After a hearing that lasted less than a day, a court issued an order requiring a critically-ill pregnant woman in Washington, D.C. to undergo cesarean surgery over her objections. Neither she nor her baby survived.

•A judge in Ohio kept a woman imprisoned to prevent her from having an abortion.

•A woman in Oregon who did not comply with a doctor’s recommendation to have additional testing for gestational diabetes was subjected to involuntary civil commitment. During her detention, the additional testing was never performed.

•A Louisiana woman was charged with murder and spent approximately a year in jail before her counsel was able to show that what was deemed a murder of a fetus or newborn was actually a miscarriage that resulted from medication given to her by a health care provider.

•In Texas, a pregnant woman who sometimes smoked marijuana to ease nausea and boost her appetite gave birth to healthy twins. She was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance to a minor.

•A doctor in Wisconsin had concerns about a woman’s plans to have her birth attended by a midwife. As a result, a civil court order of protective custody for the woman’s fetus was obtained. The order authorized the sheriff’s department to take the woman into custody, transport her to a hospital, and subject her to involuntary testing and medical treatment.

Who could have seen this coming?

Reblogging as a reminder.

This what happens when women are seen as a means of production.

New to all This

blueeyedwitch:

So I’m new to Paganism. I’ve been really looking into it and studying what I can. I can honestly say that sense I started I’ve been a lot more happier about my life and stuff. But because I’m still new I sometimes get stuck and not sure what I should do. I believe what I need is a friend or two who could help me out.

Heey check out my blog, I’ve been writing good things for beginners ( there is a book list, simple spells/charms etc) and I’m having a give away soon! Blessed be )0(

How to bless candles

It is very important that you bless/anoint the candles before you use them for a spell or any magick. It cleanses it and gets rid off any negative energy, and its very simple!

What you need:
Candle
Oil (vegetable, sandalwood, dragon’s blood, rosewood, etc.)

First step:
Close your eyes while holding the candle and focus on removing any negative energy that might be in there. Imagine black mist coming out of the candle until all of its out.

Second step: take the oil and rub some in your hands. Coat the candle with it while visualizing energy soaking into it, also keep in mind of your goal and what purpose the candle is for. You can say something about your intent or you can say nothing, its up to you! If you are anointing the candle with vegetable oil then consider rolling it in some herbs that have to do with your spell.

Third step: (optional): you can carve symbols into the candle or just leave it how it is!

Now your candles are all ready for magick!
Hope this helped,
Blessed be!

Congratulations on your newborn! I was wondering about making protection charms for babies? Like something they can possibly wear or I can keep around them?

You never want to put something around a babies neck as I’m sure you know. The easiest thing is to hang a protection charm above the crib without it falling. There are a number of different things you could do for a protection charm: herbal sachet, blessed dream catcher or just something that is important like her favorite toy.
Hope this helps )0(
